34th Street Lights, Hampden

“Baby It’s Cold Outside” Ray Charles – Play Now
“Jingle Bells” Duke Ellington – Play Now

I should be adding a few pics to this collection.  This short 1 block section in Hampden just brings everybody into the neighborhood including tourists busses!  I think the coolest lights are the ones strung across the width of 34th street.

If you hurry and see this spectacle for yourself; find a parking spot and walk and get ready for a surprise.  You’ll see some interesting things sold to keep you warm and entertained.  I have found the BEST  time to come is right around 5:00pm, weekdays or Sunday during a football game, light traffic and you might find a parking space.  The day of Christmas or the day after are great times to view too…

Good luck!

the photos above were taken Sunday the 14th @ 5:00PM  -  Don’t Disturb the Neighbors, Please Park around the Corner…

I think this event is spectacular. I have some christmas decorations that I am willing to sell very cheap to anyone who is interested. These would add to make it even more spectacular. Contact me at the e-mail address above and we can negotiate a price. Some items have never been used, some gently used, but all in great condition.
