Jojosouth Records, Opening

A great night out for Art Saturday December 6th.

I had an Artists’ Opening at the new JOJOSouth Record (vinyl) Store starting at 7:00; but Mike Wiggs and I, itching to get the night started, decided to try to catch a look at Jason Witte’s and Matt Muirhead’s work at Gallery 321 (Ben Franklin Show), which was also having an Opening Reception Saturday night and this one started an hour earlier. Upon arriving, we hooked up with couple smiling faces,  Matt Muirhead and Poet Robin Gunkel.  I also ran into Baltimore artist Cedar Lee and husband Kevin, I first met Cedar at the Maryland Art Place, Out of Order Show back in April.  Some great art at under $100 at Gallery 321!  We decided it was time to move north to JOJOSouth for my reception…

The place was jammed and were greeted as soon as you entered, that was a NICE touch!  I was the first to hang in the show so I didn’t have the opportunity to see any of the other work till Saturday night; it was all great stuff from very talented people.  I wish I had the chance to meet all of the artist but I did manage to speak with Matt Seymour and Bonnie Cunningham, dynamite work, check out their sites.  As usual, I ended up with more business cards so here’s a couple more sites to check out; Kelly Lasserre and James Singewald It was a great time all around, catered food and Naty Bohs, a natural combination!!!  JOJOSOUTH did a great job…

After the Opening, Wiggs and I decided to drop by the Windup Space (less then a block away), and YES, ran into even more artists and so on and so on and so on…

Super night out for the ARTs!
